Phoenix Financial Group addresses complaint about the IRS

Phoenix Financial Group addresses complaint about the IRS

One of the biggest complaints about the IRS these days are the hold times when you try to call them. Taxpayers can wait anywhere from 15 minutes to over hour to speak to someone regarding their tax issues. Sometimes they will wait for an hour only to be disconnected and have to start all over again.

The good news is the IRS has increased its online services. If you owe back taxes on your 1040 Personal Income Tax Return, it may be possible to set up an Installment Agreement on-line. At current thresholds if you owe less than $50,000 and have filed all of your returns, it should be relatively easy to set up an Installment Agreement on-line. The fee for using the on-line service is also substantially less than the fee charged if you set the Installment Agreement up via telephone.

If you don't want to put personal information on to the internet, you can also fill out Form 433-D and mail it in to the IRS with the terms you want. If the IRS accepts your proposal, they will mail you back an acceptance letter.

If all else fails, you can file a complaint with the IRS' Taxpayer Advocate.

If you owe more than $50,000, it might be worth consulting with a tax resolution firm like Phoenix Financial Group. When you owe in excess of $50,000, you are more susceptible to liens and levies. You will also be required to fill out a financial statement form which will determine how much the IRS makes you pay back per month. Phoenix Financial Group can also help you with writing a comprehensive penalty abatement request. Phoenix can also see if you qualify for an Offer in Compromise which is part of their Fresh Start Program. This program could save you thousands if you qualify.

If you have any questions, help is a phone call away. Call Phoenix Financial Group at: (888) 572-2179. Or send an email to info@pfgtax.com.

Phoenix Financial Group obtains Non-Collectible Status for clients.

Phoenix Financial Group obtains Non-Collectible Status for business.

Phoenix Financial Group was able to successfully negotiate a Non-Collectible Status for a business that had hired them. There were no complaints from the client as they did not need to pay anything back to the IRS on a monthly basis.

Non-Collectible Status is when the IRS suspends collection action on a taxpayer as it would create a financial hardship to do so. This program is not a scam. It is possible to get into a Status where you do not have to set up a payment plan to repay your past due taxes.

When in a Non-Collectible Status, a taxpayer's debt remains under their tax ID but the IRS does not require them to make a monthly payment towards the debt. Needless to say the IRS does not just grant people this status without making sure they qualify. A financial analysis needs to be done, complete with applicable supporting documents.

The tax professionals at Phoenix Financial Group can assist taxpayers in completing the required financial statements (Form 433-A Collection Information Statement for Wage Earners and Self Employed Individuals or Form 433-B Collection Statement for Businesses). These forms need to be completed accurately or not only will a taxpayer will not be placed into a non-collectible status, they will be forced to pay an Installment Agreement payment that they cannot afford.

Not all taxpayers qualify for Non-Collectible Status. Your financials have to show that you cannot afford to make a monthly payment but you can afford to stay in compliance with your current tax obligations.

Phoenix Financial Group is a full service tax firm meaning they can help you prepare and file your tax returns and represent you before the IRS regarding your past due tax balances.

Stop Complaining about the IRS and call (888) 572-2179 to find out how they can help you. They have an A+ Rating with the BBB and over 100 references.

Do you qualify for an Offer in Compromise?

Tax Resolution Company, Phoenix Financial Group just got done resolving a client's tax problem and saved them hundreds of thousands of dollars via the IRS Fresh Start Program.

An Offer in Compromise was submitted for each officer of a now defunct company. The officers had been assessed over $800,000 via the IRS' Trust Fund Recovery Penalty. Each officer received Letter 1153 from their IRS Revenue Officer. Appeals were exercised to no avail. The Trust Fund Recovery Penalty was assessed and was now on each officer's Social Security Number. And Tax Liens were filed. Levies and Garnishments would be next.

An Enrolled Agent with Phoenix Financial Group was brought in to address the situation. A separate Offer in Compromise was submitted for each of the 3 officers. Form 433-A OIC Collection Information Statement for Wage Earners and Self Employed Individuals and Form 656 Offer in Compromise was completed on behalf of each officer. The first payment and application fee was submitted with the forms and the necessary supporting documentation. The Enrolled Agent then ensured that each Offer passed processability.

After waiting several months for the Offers to be assigned to an Offer Examiner the Enrolled Agent successfully negotiated the settlement of all three Offers saving the clients hundreds of thousands of dollars. Each officer could then move on with their lives having not faced financial ruin.

Do you qualify for an Offer in Compromise? The best candidates for this program are people with low asset values and low disposable income. Give Phoenix Financial Group a call to see if you qualify at (888) 572-2179.

PFGtax

PFGtax is the web site for Phoenix Financial Group.

Phoenix Financial Group can help you with your past due tax debts and outstanding returns.

If you have tried to fix your own tax situation, you have probably experienced the really long hold times for the IRS. This is a common complaint of the taxpayer. The IRS has had their budget cut and the result is long hold times.

Then you speak to a representative at the IRS who demands lots of information that you don't have. They tell you to gather the information and call back. Now you have to call back, speak to a different person who doesn't understand what was said the first time you spoke with them and hope you aren't missing any information or that they don't request more information. Then you cross your fingers and hope that the give you a reasonable re-payment plan and don't file a lien or garnish your wages. Again this scenario is a common complaint of most taxpayers who have fallen behind.

That's where Phoenix Financial Group comes in. We can call the IRS for you. We know the information that is going to be requested. We know how to protect your income and assets from IRS enforcement action while we put together your financial statement. And we know what the IRS is looking for and how they are going to analyze your finances so we can make sure you don't get blindsided by the IRS with a payment arrangement you can't afford. We can also help you submit a penalty abatement request so that you don't have to pay more than you have to.

If you have returns that need to be file, we can help with that too. Get your return completed by a tax professional to maximize your refund!

Stop complaining about the IRS and give Phoenix Financial Group a call at (303) 325-3640.

Consumer Complaints

Consumer Complaints about the IRS

The IRS is not an institution that most Americans like. Here are some of the common consumer complaints about the IRS.

- Consumer Complaint #1: Complexity of Tax Return filing
Why is it so difficult to file your income taxes? The tax code is so complex most people need to hire someone to file their return for them. Fear is a big factor here. People are afraid of the penalties if the fill out the forms correctly or they are afraid they won't get the biggest refund possible.

- Consumer Complaint #2: Some people don't seem to have to pay taxes
There is a growing belief that neither the rich nor the poor are paying taxes leaving the entire burden to the people in the middle. The rich can take advantage of loopholes and write offs while the poor take advantage of programs like the Earned Income Tax Credit.

- Consumer Complaint #3: Hold Times
If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of actually having to call the IRS, you can expect to wait on hold for at least 30 minutes usually longer. And then there is no guarantee you will get a solution to your problem.

- Consumer Complaint #4: Tax Liens
If you owe the government money, they may file a tax lien. This action can cause all kinds of problems. It will make it much more difficult to get a loan modification or sell property. When the IRS files a lien, levies are not far behind. The Federal Government can levy the money in your bank account and use it to pay down your tax debt.

- Consumer Complaint #5: Penalties
The IRS assesses large penalties for Failing to File a Return on time or for Failing to Pay tax due on time. These penalties can be severe and some view them as a rip off. However there are ways to get penalties abated.

- Consumer Complaint #6: Scams
There are people out there running scams by impersonating the IRS, asking for money while threatening to take you to jail. The IRS will send letters out before contacting you by telephone. They are not going to threaten to take you to jail either. Another scam is when someone files a fraudulent tax returns under someone else's Social Security Number. It is a form of identity theft. They make sure that a refund is due and then they change the address so the check comes to them.

There are firms like Phoenix Financial Group that can help you navigate the waters of the IRS. They provide customers solutions to most of the above complaints. They can help you get a return filed. Their tax attorneys and enrolled agents can speak to the IRS on your behalf so that you don't have to spend hours on hold. They can inform you of all of your rights and how to deal with tax liens and penalties.  Phoenix Financial Group can help you find solutions to your tax problems.

Phoenix Financial Group Enrolled Agents

Phoenix Financial Group Enrolled Agents

Phoenix Financial Group has a team of Enrolled Agents and Tax Attorneys who specialize in representing taxpayers before the IRS.

Enrolled Agents are tax professionals who get their license directly from the Internal Revenue Service.

Per the IRS' web site, "An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards".

The National Association of Enrolled Agents explains, "What does the term “enrolled agent” mean?

Enrolled” means to be licensed to practice by the federal government, and “Agent” means authorized to appear in the place of the taxpayer at the IRS. Only enrolled agents, attorneys, and CPAs have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. The enrolled agent profession dates back to 1884 when, after questionable claims had been presented for Civil War losses, Congress acted to regulate persons who represented citizens in their dealings with the U.S. Treasury Department."

"Enrolled agents advise, represent, and prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts, and any entities with tax-reporting requirements. Enrolled agents’ expertise in the continually changing field of taxation enables them to effectively represent taxpayers at all administrative levels within the IRS."

NOTE: Our Enrolled Agents do not work for the Federal Government or the IRS. Enrolled Agents represent taxpayers before the IRS. We defend the taxpayer. We advocate on the taxpayer's behalf. We handle communications with the IRS on the taxpayer's behalf. We are NOT agents of the government. Some former IRS employees do become Enrolled Agents and go to work in the private sector.

Phoenix Financial Group's Enrolled Agents and Tax Attorneys have helped thousands of businesses get back on their feet. Our top priority is protecting our client's assets from IRS enforced collection action such as levy and seizure.  Next is a resolution that is a best fit for the client, be it an affordable Installment Agreement, Non- Collectible Status or Offer in Compromise.  Then we look to save our client's money in interest and penalties.  If you are in trouble with the IRS, consider hiring a tax resolution firm like Phoenix Financial Group

PFGTAX complaints about bureaucracy of the IRS.

PFGTAX complaints about the big government bureaucracy of the IRS….

Hold times at the IRS have gotten really ridiculous. In my estimation you are lucky to get through to the IRS in 30 minutes. I would say the average hold time is around 45 minutes. The IRS also has this great practice of having you wait on hold for an hour only to be hung up on. I believe the recent budget cuts from Congress have resulted in less representatives for the IRS and therefore longer hold times. Additionally you are much less likely to get service from the IRS' Taxpayer Advocate now. They seem to be turning away more cases than ever.

PFGTAX complaints about the IRS are numerous. Phoenix Financial Group or PFGTAX assists its clients in resolving back tax issues. Its staff of Tax Attorneys and Enrolled Agents deal with the IRS on a daily basis. They are familiar with how the IRS hierarchy works including the IRS Taxpayer Advocate and Appeals Divisions work and what type of authority they have. Owing money to the IRS can be stressful. Navigating through the bureaucracy can be difficult. Can you trust what the IRS representatives are telling you or are they just trying to collect as much money from you as they can as quickly as they can? What are my rights? Will the IRS representatives tell me what my rights are? Or will they just send me some big publication with all sorts of legal jargon?

The IRS is legally obligated to provide you with certain publications that explain what your rights are. Most people that owe money don't bother reading them. They are tedious and boring. If you don't want a job as a tax professional then you are better off hiring one to help you out. Let them deal with the IRS. That's what they are good at. You should go back to what you are good at, i.e. running your business. Your time is more valuable creating new clients, working with existing clients, marketing, creating your products, providing your services and what ever else goes into running your business. It is  simply not worth most people's time to try and figure out what their rights are and how to exercise them.

Phoenix Financial Group (PFGTAX) can help you get back on your feet and get out of trouble with the IRS. They have an extensive reference list of satisfied clients. Their staff has over 100 years of combined experience. PFGTAX has been in business for 10 years. And they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Why did my business get a call from Phoenix Financial Group?

Why did my business get a call from Phoenix Financial Group? Can they help my business? Do they specialize in tax resolution? Can they resolve my 941 tax problems? Will they understand my complaints with the IRS?

Phoenix Financial Group (PFG) is a tax resolution firm located at 520 Zang St Broomfield, CO 80021. PFG's phone number is (888) 572-2179.

If you have a received a phone call from Phoenix Financial Group, the IRS has most likely filed a lien against your business. The most common type of tax debt for businesses is 941 Quarterly Withholding Taxes. Form 941 is the tax return used to reconcile a business' payroll taxes including: employee withholding, and employee and employer contributions to Social Security and Medicare. The IRS does not take it likely when a business accrues this type of tax. It is viewed as a Trust Fund tax where the owners of a business can be held personally responsible for a portion of the taxes owed.
