Are you having a problem with an IRS employee? You report them to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration or (TIGTA). You can also report them to the Taxpayer Advocate.

If your tax preparer has done any of the following, you can report them to the IRS:
- Embezzling your refund.
- Altering your tax return documents.
- Filing a return without your consent.
- Creating or omitting income to generate a larger refund.
- Creating false exemptions or dependents to generate a larger refund.
- Creating false expenses, deductions or credits to generate a larger refund.
- Using an incorrect filing status to generate a larger refund.
